Privacy policy

Tambo is developed and operated by Patricio Albornoz, Argentina. For privacy questions or requests, contact pato@tambo.cc.

Tambo works primarily on device. Expenses, financial accounts, budgets, categories, bills, notes, reminders, attachments, preferences, and saved exchange rates remain in the app’s storage on your device.

• Your local account password is stored in the iOS Keychain.
• The local account name and email are stored in the app’s private preferences.
• CSV backups leave the device only when you choose to create and share them.

If you use Sign in with Apple, Tambo receives the identifier, name, and email that Apple authorizes and stores them locally. At this stage, Tambo does not maintain its own server-side account database.

• Apple processes authentication under its own policies.
• If you use a local account, authentication happens only on your device.

To retrieve exchange rates, the app requests public data from DolarAPI. The request does not include your expenses, notes, accounts, or files. As with any internet connection, the provider and network infrastructure may receive technical data such as IP address and request time.

• Apple provides Sign in with Apple and system services such as notifications, files, photos, and biometrics.
• The tambo.cc website may generate minimal security and delivery logs through its hosting provider. It uses no advertising cookies or behavioral analytics.

If you email pato@tambo.cc, we receive your email address, message content, and any files you choose to attach. We use that information to respond and resolve your request, keep it only as long as reasonably necessary, and will delete it upon request.

• Tambo does not sell personal data.
• Tambo uses no advertising networks.
• Tambo includes no cross-app or cross-site tracking tools.
• Tambo does not transmit your expenses, notes, or attachments to the developer.

Local data remains until you delete it in the app or remove the application. “Delete Account” removes the identity, local credential, and associated on-device data. Backups you exported remain under your control and need to be deleted separately.

Under Argentina’s Law 25,326, you may request access, correction, updating, or deletion of personal data controlled by the controller. Because financial information is stored locally, you can manage it directly in the app. For any additional request, contact pato@tambo.cc.

Tambo uses protections provided by iOS, including Keychain for local credentials and optional biometrics to lock access. No system is infallible. This policy may change if features or legal requirements change; the current version will be posted here.
